The Celebration would not possible without the donations from local businesses, families, and individuals. The Celebration Group (comprised of community members who love to volunteer their time and energy) work tirelessly throughout the year gaining donations to put on the festival. We do not receive tax dollars or other government funding to pay for the stage entertainment.

We do, however, receive a percentage of the profits from the Jessop Amusements carnival. Having to cancel the carnival on the 4th cut into Jessop Amusements' profits, and our reserve fund to put on next year's festival. The carnival could not stay for the 5th because of another scheduled carnival.

Who LOVED the 66th annual Covington 4th of July Celebration!? We had some rain and we had some HEAT, but what a wonderful way to celebrate our country's 250th birthday.
The Celebration would not possible without the donations from local businesses, families, and individuals. The Celebration Group (comprised of local individual's who love to volunteer their time and energy) work throughout the year gaining donations to put on the yearly festival. We do not receive tax dollars or other government funding to pay for the stage entertainment.
We do receive a percentage of the profits from the carnival from Jessop Amusements, so this year's rain really put a damper (pun intended) on our reserve fund for next year's Celebration.

The Celebration continues tonight (6/5) with our postponed evening of events!

8-10pm Coop and Company on the entertainment stage.
10pm EXTRAVAGANT FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR!

Some venders will be open for food and drinks. Unfortunately, the carnival will be closed.

Mother Nature knew we needed a break from the heat and excitement!
Entertainment and rides are CANCELLED for tonight.

Tomorrow, July 5th.

Indiana's State General Attorney Todd Rokita will be making opening remarks at 5:30pm TONIGHT on the Entertainment stage.

Some of his team will also be walking in the parade. Be sure to set up along 4th and 5th streets to see at 4pm TODAY!

The Covington 4th of July Celebration is a SMOKE FREE environment.
We also ask that NO pets, motorized vehicles, bikes, or scooters are in the entertainment and carnival areas.

*Parking attendants will be on site to help with the flow of traffic. Please be mindful.
