October 6 is National Coaches Day, and here’s to the dance teachers.The ones who teach so much more than choreography.

The ones who have patience on the hard days. Who empower every child in the room. Who don’t define a dancer by one bad practice, one mistake, or one tough moment.

The ones who understand that some kids need directions repeated.
Some need extra reassurance.
Some need a minute to regulate, refocus, or reset.

The ones who meet kids whose brains process, learn & behave differently & they do not function on the same social standard as others.

The ones who push our kids to be the best dancers they can be while still making them feel safe, valued, and loved.

Because the best coaches don’t just create better dancers.

They build confidence.
They create belonging.
They help raise stronger humans.

Here’s to Patsy’s dance teachers who always lead with kindness.
Our kids will remember you always. ❤️

Being a dance mom is so much more than costumes and recital nights.

It’s searching for the missing dance shoe while you’re already running late. It’s bobby pins everywhere, tights that snag at the worst possible time, and learning how to create the perfect bun under pressure.

It’s long practices, rushed dinners, makeup in the car, and quietly holding your breath from the moment the music starts.

But it’s also watching your child grow more confident with every step.

You see the hours behind the few minutes they spend onstage. You know the corrections they worked through, the routines they practiced until their body remembered them, and the days they showed up even when they felt tired or discouraged.

Then the curtain opens, the music begins, and there they are doing what they love.

In that moment, every rushed evening and every forgotten hairpin feels worth it.

Because being a dance mom isn’t only about watching them perform. It’s about having a front-row seat as they learn discipline, resilience, courage, and how to believe in themselves.

And I wouldn’t trade that seat for anything. 🤍

Patsy’s is so blessed to have these talented young ladies as the teachers for dance, tumbling & cheer this 2026-2027 season. They all have families of their own but devote at least 1 night each week some times 2 nights to teach the children of Bath & Alleghany County. I am very humbled by their support & the support of the parents, grandparents & friends of our students. Please join us before enrollment is closed in December.
