Huge shout out to our dance team, cheer team, and Darbys Dancers! Everyone did an amazing job tonight in the homecoming parade !!!!

Big thanks to Paige Balser for the cheer choreography, Kayla Douglas for the Darbys choreography, and Amanda Burns for the clogging choreography!

Your preschooler doesn’t need to dance like a big kid. And honestly, they shouldn’t have to. 💜
At this age, dance is about so much more than getting every step right.
They’re learning how to follow directions, move their bodies with intention, take turns, listen to music, try something new, and feel comfortable being part of a group.
Sometimes that looks like beautiful little tendus and perfectly timed choreography. And sometimes it looks like wiggling, giggling, watching from the side, or doing their own version of the movement. And that’s okay. 😌
Preschoolers are still learning how to learn. They’re still developing coordination, attention, confidence, and independence. They need an environment that meets them where they are—not one that expects them to behave like miniature older dancers.
We want our youngest dancers to leave class thinking “That was fun! I can’t wait to come back!” because a positive first experience with dance can become the foundation for years of growth. ✨
So let them be little. Let them move, explore, laugh, and learn.
The technique will come. Right now, we’re building the foundation. 🌱
