Why Viva Voices? The Cincinnati metro area has many wonderful choral organizations. We are different, in that we strive to provide a choral experience that is affordable, multi-generational, diverse, and high quality. Our organization includes choirs for elementary-age children through adulthood, under the umbrella of one organization. We strive to share the love of the life-enriching art of choral music with people of all ages – creating a life-long choral “home” for area singers. And because our vision is to celebrate song that addresses the common aspirations of our diverse world, we will offer themed series that provide unique performances, venues, and topics of interest. The great choral conductor Robert Shaw once said, “...music is not a luxury but a necessity...it is the persistent focus of man’s intelligence, aspiration, and good will.” We believe that music has the power to connect people -- in its performance, in its messages, and in its ability to inspire and uplift. And by connecting multiple ages, multiple audiences and common themes, we bring a unique approach to choral singing in our community. President/Artistic Director

✈️ And they’re off! 🇦🇹🇩🇪🎶

Early this morning, 50 members and friends of Viva Voices began their journey to Germany and Austria for an unforgettable musical adventure.

During their travels, the choir will have the opportunity to perform as part of the prestigious Salzburg Choral Festival, sharing their music in one of the world’s most celebrated musical regions while experiencing the rich culture, history, and traditions of Austria and Germany.

We are excited to follow their journey and can’t wait to share highlights from along the way. Join us in wishing our singers safe travels and an incredible experience abroad! 💛✨

🇺🇸 What an unforgettable weekend in Washington, D.C.! 🎶✨

The Viva Voices Children’s Choir, Youth Chorus, and Youth Chamber Choir just returned from our nation’s capital, where 95 singers, families, staff members, and chaperones represented Northern Kentucky with pride.

Throughout the trip, our singers performed two concerts celebrating America’s 250th Birthday, shared their music with audiences from across the country, and experienced some of our nation’s most iconic landmarks and memorials. From inspiring performances to sightseeing, laughter on the buses, and memories made with friends, this trip was filled with moments our singers will never forget.

We are incredibly proud of these young musicians for the dedication, excellence, and enthusiasm they brought to every performance and experience. Thank you to our directors, staff, chaperones, families, and supporters who helped make this remarkable journey possible.

🎹 Please join us in welcoming Alex Thio as the new pianist for the Viva Voices Chorale and Chamber Ensemble! 💙

A Cincinnati-based pianist, collaborative artist, and educator, Alex brings a wealth of experience in performance, collaboration, and choral music. He holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and has performed with distinguished artists and ensembles throughout his career.

Alex’s extensive background includes serving as choral pianist for the Sycamore Community Singers, performing on international tours throughout the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Germany, and collaborating with renowned musicians and clinicians across the country.

We are excited to welcome Alex to the Viva Voices family and look forward to the artistry, musicianship, and leadership he will bring to our ensembles this season. Please help us give him a warm Viva Voices welcome! 🎶
