We have just completed two weeks of Irish dance summer camps!

Week one featured our novice and prizewinner dancers: 6 hours each day these kids did drills, conditioning, crafts, and so much dancing!

Week two featured our beginners and advanced beginners: 3 hours each day for each group spent crafting, dancing, and learning.

What a fun way to spend our summer! Even Monday’s tornados didn’t stop these kids 🌪️🫠

The fourth day of NAIDC did not disappoint! We had four dancers perform in the traditional set competition.

Evy danced a lovely King of the Fairies and really put her best on the floor! 🤴🧚

Annie rocked Job of Journeywork and made us all proud. ☘️

Ava performed a strong Job of Journeywork and placed 10th in the Traditional Set U14-B! 🎖️

Hailey wowed us with her beautiful King of the Fairies performance and finished in FIRST PLACE in the Traditional Set U14-A!!!! 🏆

Well done to all the Harling dancers who took the stage to represent themselves, our dance school, and Mid-America. Today was our final day. To all the competitors dancing for the next two days - good luck!

Day 3 at the NAIDC was a busy one. We had 7 teams perform and one soloist.

Our soloist in boys U14 put forward his best on stage, and he was only 1 spot off the recall! So close, Simeon! You’ll get there next time ☘️

Our teams did not all have their strongest showing on stage, but we are proud of how they showed up for each other off stage. There was great support and camaraderie between friends. Thanks for showing us resiliency and friendship. ❤️

The big stars yesterday were our girls U9 teams and the girls U13 4-hand:
BOTH of our U9 girls 4-hand teams made the recall and finished in 4th and 7th place. Well done, girls! You handled the pressure beautifully and focused and did your best. We are so proud. And our girls U13 4-hand had a good finish in 13th place. ⭐️

Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸

Day two at the North American Irish Dance Championships was a success!! I’m so proud of everyone who took the stage today. Your hard work really came through. Thank you for bravely sharing your talents and your passions with us all!!

3 soloists and 15 traditional set dancers performed today:

While two of our soloists, Ellie & Rosie, did not make the recall, they already achieved an incredible feat of qualifying to be a SOLOIST at the North American Championships. They left it all on the floor, and we couldn’t be more proud. ☘️

Addison Leuzzi wowed us all with an incredible recall in the girls U10 SOLO championship. Congrats on 65th place! Your soft shoe today was 🔥

The traditional set dancers did well again:
Annabella L - 2nd
Coen G - 5th
Annika O - 6th
Ada D - 6th
Eliana D - 8th
Fiona W - 11th
Maisy A - 14th
Rose R - 18th
Lanie R - 23rd

And Samara, Ainsley, Ember, Maggie, Nettie, and Fiona G: though you did not quite make the recall in your traditional set, I am very proud of you all. The work and dedication you put into this experience really showed, and you pulled off great performances today. Well done!! ❤️

These lovely photos only feature a few of the 18 dancers that competed today, but we’ll be adding more in the days to come! 📸

Let’s hear it for our day one dancers!
We had 6 beautiful dancers compete at the North American Irish Dance Championships today in Orlando, FL, and they kicked things off with a fabulous start!

Our beautiful soloist, Avery, danced two gorgeous rounds, and we are so proud of how she left it all on the floor. That slip jig was 🤩

And we had five adorable traditional set competitors in the U8 & U9 age groups. Kiana & Zoey danced very confidently and made us all proud.

And three of our traditional set dancers recalled and placed very high:

Congratulations to Summer Newman on an outstanding 4th place finish in U9 for her rock solid Saint Patrick’s Day!! Way to go Eleanor Campagna on 6th place for a lovely Job of Journeywork in the U8 age group. And well done to Fiona Kennedy on a strong 20th place finish for her Job of Journeywork in U9.

We are so proud of you all!

Congratulations to all the Harling dancers that competed at the Chicago Feis today! We are proud of everyone that performed at Chicago Gaelic Park. ☘️

A huge congratulations to Annabella, who won the Dennis Dennehy Memorial trophy and qualified for PC today 🏆 ……. and it’s her birthday! What a way to turn 12! Well done!! 🎂🥳

Her little sis, Addison, got 2nd in the dance off too 👀 And her Harling friends, Roisin & Ada (the previous two winners of the Dennehy perpetual award), were there to cheer them on!

Today was a great day to be a Harling dancer ❤️

For the last five weeks, a group of Harling dancers/athletes participated in the 5-week LaGrange/Countryside ( ) Healthy Kids Running Series. These friends had so much fun cheering each other on at their running club. They all did a great job, and even went home with some trophies and medals! 🥇🏆 Well done!

The best part? They all knew how to pose like Irish dancers after their race 🤩
