🎉 Want to help shape Washunga Days 2027? 🎉

We’re adding to our 2027 Washunga Days Committee, and we’re looking for people who want to do more than volunteer, we want people who are excited to bring ideas, take ownership, and help create amazing experiences for our community.

We have specific roles to fill, including Volunteer Coordinator, Merchandise Coordinator, and more, but there’s room at the table for new ideas, too!

Have an activity you’d love to see at Washunga Days? A talent or skill you think could make the weekend better? An idea you’ve been saying “Someone should do this…” about for years?

Come be that someone.💛

Our committee members are empowered to take ideas and run with them, with the support of the larger Washunga Days team behind them.

Washunga Days is truly built by our community, and we’re already dreaming BIG for 2027!

If you’ve always thought, “I’d love to get involved someday,” this is your invitation! Join us for our next Washunga Days 2027 Committee Meeting and help us start shaping another incredible festival for the City of Council Grove.

There are SO many ways to be part of Washunga Days, with opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, and time commitments. You don’t have to come with experience or a specific job in mind... just bring your ideas, your enthusiasm, and your love for our community!

☀️A few scenes from this year's Kaw Nation Intertribal Powwow!☀️

One of the most meaningful traditions of Washunga Days is the opportunity to gather, learn, and celebrate alongside the Kanza people whose history is deeply connected to this place we call home.

Thank you to the Kaw Nation, dancers, singers, organizers, volunteers, and visitors who made this year's Powwow such a beautiful and memorable part of the festival weekend. The sights, sounds, stories, and traditions shared at Allegawaho Memorial Heritage Park remind us that honoring history is an important part of building community.

Thank you to the Kaw Nation for making Washunga Days 2026 so special.

What a weekend!

Thank you to all, from the Washunga Days Volunteer Committee and the City of Council Grove crews to our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, performers, civic organizations, and countless helpers behind the scenes... thank you for making Washunga Days 2026 such a success.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! Your support, enthusiasm, and community spirit are what make this festival so special year after year.

Washunga Days is built by community and shared by all, and this weekend was an incredible reminder of that.
