Last night we ran our last games. The Cryptic Room is permanently closed.

It has been an amazing 7 1/2 years. We have introduced so many people to our version of escape rooms, we have been a part of birthdays, first dates, marriage proposals, wedding parties, baby announcements, family traditions, and so many other special moments. Thanks for sharing your lives with us and making us laugh with you! It has been our pleasure to bring memorable moments into everyone’s life - we definitely created memories too!

It is time for me to do other things and create other memories. Troy and I loved spending time with all of you and The Cryptic Room helped bring me back to life after his death. I am forever thankful.

Happy 7th Birthday to The Cryptic Room!! Thanks to all of the escape artists who have played our games over the years!
We also would have never made it here without our awesome crew - build team: Russell & Bobbie, gamemasters: Rochelle, Xandria, Josh, Kelsey, Carla, Mikey, Kodi, and Dawn. Of course, Troy was our great mastermind who was responsible for all of it! Even though we miss him every day, we still feel him guiding us.

This little adventure exceeded our expectations! Thanks for coming on this adventure with us!

Our Story

We are Troy and Angel - the masterminds behind the curtain at The Cryptic Room. We started this adventure in 2015 as avid fans of escape rooms. We played them as often as we could, everywhere we traveled. One day in the car, we were critiquing a game we had just completed (what could have been different, etc.), I looked at Troy and said, "Why don't we just do this?" And we have been on this adventure ever since.
