Inktober Day 3 - Boot

There was a 36 year old man who lived in a , he had 5 children and loved them to death.

Hey, raising kids is hard, and not for the feint of heart. And you don’t get as much time to draw as before. BUT. I wouldn’t trade them or this boot for anything.

Inktober Day 2 - Discovery

I remember the feeling of anticipation with every house we’ve bought. Like anything is possible with enough elbow grease and sweat. You never know what you’ll discover in a fixer upper…you might just find a home.

Inktober Day 1

I wasn’t sure if I was going to commit to this challenge this year. Some things are happening in my personal life, both good and challenging, which leave me with little margin. However, after talking with a good friend this morning, I feel like this might still be a good thing for me. If this “challenge” gives me a reason to sit down and draw once a day, and gives me some quiet in my mind, I’ll take it.

Cheers to Inktober 2024!

‪As a society we’ve come pretty far from the days of hunting for and raising our own food. In 2020, some of us took up an interest in things like gardening again, while others leaned into the modern convenience of services like DoorDash and GrubHub. Most of us fell somewhere in between being unable to afford the rising cost of eating out, and also unable to afford the time and energy required to really produce our own food.‬

Hopefully in 2024, we can start to find a sustainable middle ground rooted in community. I think there’s real potential for producers who are very locally minded to thrive in a local economy. Perhaps if we’re willing to let go of some measure of convenience in exchange for higher quality and connectedness, we’ll make it through this together.

Sunday Comic - 8/11/24
FYI, the elephant in this comic does not stand for a U.S. political party. Elephants are just cool, and in the context of the African Savannah, they seem to be the wise level headed ones. :D Happy Sunday!

Happy 4th of July! I was hoping to release this original today, and while it’s not finished, I’m proud of how it’s coming together. My wife just got back from a few days in DC and I now have a backlog of other potential drawing photos lol.

Any guesses on what my next original piece is of? It’s a big one but here’s a peek at the corner I’ve been working on! ...
