Yesterday afternoon, the music department staff announced next year's music trip - we're going to Orlando! However, we only announced where we're going. The music staff will be holding a kick-off meeting going over much more of the information pertaining to the trip on Wednesday, May 13th at 7:00 PM in the HS Auditorium. All students currently in grades 8-11 (9-12 next school year) who are enrolled in a music course (band and/or choir) for the entire 2026-2027 school year are eligible to attend the trip.

Yesterday was State Solo and Ensemble Contest at Council Bluffs, Thomas Jefferson. We took 40 vocal entries and ended with the following:

🌟25 Division I (Superior) ratings - including 2 perfect ballots!
⭐️ 14 Division II (Excellent) ratings
✏️ 1 Comments Only performance

Huge shout out to our accompanists Sonya Schiphoff, Bryan Bohn, and Carissa Dreier who helped our students prepare and feel confident for their performances - we couldn’t have done it without you! We are proud of all of our students who participated in this event! It was a wonderful day!
