The Yellow Watchman Goby is a small bright yellow goby with blue speckles on its face. They range from 3 to 4 inches long. They are found in the tropics and should be kept in temperatures that range from 72 to 82°F. Since they are bottom dwelling, they usually do not experience high current and prefer calm water. Gobies will eat frozen mysis or brine. The yellow watchman goby is great for beginners and its personality makes it a wonderful tank mate. They are happiest when paired with a pistol shrimp. They are reef safe and non-aggressive except when it comes to the same s*x of their own species; so only home one or a mated pair. Like many other gobies, the yellow watchman can jump out of your tank. Take the necessary precautions to be prepared for a fish that may jump.

Happy clients, happy life. Is that the saying? 😂😁

Friendly Reef Wrasses
Specifically, genus Paracheilinus and Cirrhilabrus

These two genus are closely related and afford the reef enthusiast a plethora of wrasse species to inhabit their home.

The Paracheilinus genus, commonly referred to as flasher wrasses, are outstanding in color and disposition. The males “flash” vivid colors when courting females. They will be excellent tank companions, peaceful in nature. They feed on plankton, brine, mysis and a variety of meaty foods. I would recommend having 3 in your aquarium, as this will give you the best opportunity to witness their “flashing” behavior. They are jumpers, so be advised to keep the aquarium covered.

The Cirrhilabrus genus, known commonly as fairy wrasses, are a wonderful compliment to the Paracheilinus. Somewhat larger, most species pose no threat to your other reef inhabitants. They are voracious feeders and, like the flasher wrasses, should be fed at least a couple times a day. They will eat the same meaty foods as the flashers. The colors on Cirrhilabrus species are breathtaking. Shipping can be hard on them, so be sure to see them eat, before purchasing them.
