Congratulations to our very own La Salle County Fair Queen Hayden Ayala! 💙💛

Hayden made the Texas FFA Area X Officer Team and will serve as the 2026–2027 Area X 1st Vice President!

The Area X FFA Association Officer selection process is extremely competitive and happens in multiple phases. Candidates first complete Phase 1, which includes applications, interview, and a knowledge exam. Those advancing move on to Phase 2, which consists of additional interviews focused on leadership, communication, member engagement, and agricultural industry knowledge, along with the speech and voting portion at the Area Convention. Hayden advanced to a runoff election during the convention today before ultimately being selected as the Area X 1st Vice President.

To make this even more special, Cotulla FFA has not had an Area Officer represent the chapter in several decades, making this a huge accomplishment not only for Hayden, but for our entire chapter and community. We hope it helps pave the way for other members to step outside their comfort zones, and dream big!

Hayden will spend the next year giving back to one of the organizations that has helped shape her into the leader and person she is today. She looks forward to serving alongside the Area X Officer Team, encouraging and connecting with FFA members across the area, promoting the importance of agriculture and agricultural education, and representing the Texas FFA Association with humility, heart, and a spirit of selfless service.

Threat of rain did not keep the royals from having a good time at the Poteet Strawberry Festival on Saturday.

One of the parents even got into the fun and was in costume.
