Hill Country Community Theatre The Hill Country Community Theatre enriches and engages the community by producing and promoting live theatre and arts education.

HCCT is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation serving Central Texas. Since 1985, the Hill Country Community Theatre has served the public as a showcase for extraordinary local talent. Performances are acclaimed for the professionalism of the sets, the costumes and, of course, the acting. as staged many outstanding productions over the years. From compelling dramas and hilarious comedies, to high-stepping musicals, HCCT offers a wide variety of entertainment every season. Auditions for upcoming productions happen throughout the year and are open to the public. The theater is always in need of volunteers to work behind-the-scenes. There are countless ways in which you can be involved. Some of the many tasks that volunteers take on include costumes, props, lighting, marketing and box office. Hill Country Community Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for our Season 41 opener, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder!

Audition Requirements

Please prepare one song in a style similar to the show. Auditioners should also be prepared to:

Sing their prepared selection
Participate in cold readings from the script
Learn a brief movement combination

About the Show

Winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder is a delightfully wicked musical comedy filled with mistaken identities, romance, ambition, and plenty of laughs. When the charming but penniless Monty Navarro discovers he is ninth in line to inherit a wealthy earldom, he sets out to move a little closer to the front of the line—with hilariously murderous results.

Please note: Because A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder does not include children's roles, this production will be cast with high school-age and adult performers.

The response to our Season 41 announcement has been incredible.

We're excited to share that two of our six mainstage productions have already been fully underwritten by members of our community.

Seeing that level of support before the season has even begun is both humbling and exciting.

For more than 40 years, HCCT has been a place where stories come to life, friendships are formed, volunteers find purpose, and audiences gather to experience the magic of live theatre. None of that happens without the support of people who believe in what we do.
