Yesterday was all about dyeing fiber and it was a perfect rainy, misty day to get this done. As always my helpers were on standby, eager to lend a paw by rolling in the fiber and sniffing it suspiciously for me.

You know, just in case...🤣

One thing I love about alpaca fiber is how beautifully it takes up dye. This royal purple came out perfectly..💜

Pink elephants perhaps, cotton candy or little piggies? The skies the limit, if we can dream it, I can felt it.

I am really liking the pink elephants though..

I have been working on fiber sculpture again lately and really enjoying it.

Just putting the finishing touches on this gal. I was thinking of calling it "The Gatherer ", but not so sure. I am so bad at naming, which is why I have a bird named Casper and once a dog named Freckles...🤣

I call this one, The Holly King. It is inspired by my favorite Sabbat, the Winter Solstice/Yule.

The horns and holly leaves celebrate the epic seasonal battle of light and dark, between the Oak and Holly King.

On my morning walk yesterday I was treated to a most dazzling display of changing leaf color. It was breezy and I watched as the wind coaxed the last remaining leaves from their branches, twirling them through the air, landing in my hair and swirling about my feet....🍂🍂

Back in the studio, I was inspired and settled down by the fire to create this piece, which I call...

"The Blustery Day ".
