Zouk Vibes Hosted by Marissa Rivera and Rinaldo Melo

Marissa Rivera and Rinaldo Melo’s unique approach to teaching Zouk comes from a very diverse back ground of training. Marissa has been dancing for over 15 years with back grounds in Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Latin Dance and the list goes on. Born in Brazil, and starting social dance at the age of 18, Rinaldo’s passion for dance and attention

to detail is unparalleled. Marissa and Rinaldo have traveled all over to train from world renowned instructors in Brazilian Zouk. They hold the title of 2017 US Open Zouk Champions and have placed in the top three in multiple social dance competitions. Their teaching style is focused on three core concepts of connection, technique and practice. Theirs classes make any dancer progress into a proficient Brazilian Zouk social dancer.

When Zouk Dad comes to class 🥹

Toward the end of class, Clinton came in and sat down to watch. There’s nothing quite like the nerve-wracking feeling of your own teacher watching you teach.

We hadn’t danced together in almost 3 years, so this moment meant so much to me. I try my best to always honor the people who came before me and helped shape who I am as a dancer and teacher today — Clinton Lacerda II is a huge part of that journey. Love you so much 🤍
