We’re all about bees, honey, & community—bringing people together to learn, taste, explore, & celebrate all things sweet and buzzy! Not only are the honeybees in peril, so are all our pollinators. Yet, with all the talk about pesticides, additives, global warming, etc. there are things that you and I can do to help our insects to survive. We will keep ex

panding our resources and help to educate the public on these newest measures that can be done with very little investment or land.

September is officially National Honey Month, and we’re celebrating all month long!

From honey and beekeeping to pollinators, local agriculture, recipes, and plenty of sweet facts, we’ll be sharing a little more about what makes honey bees so incredible and why they matter to our communities.

💛 Celebrating National Nonprofit Day! 💛

The Michigan Honey Festival is more than a weekend event. It is a community effort made possible by people who believe in the importance of education, agriculture, beekeeping, and protecting our pollinators.

From our volunteers welcoming guests and helping with activities, to educators sharing their knowledge, beekeepers teaching the community, vendors sharing their products, and our team working behind the scenes, there are so many people who help bring the festival to life.

These photos are just a small glimpse of the people who make the Michigan Honey Festival possible. We are incredibly grateful for every volunteer, presenter, partner, vendor, educator, and community member who gives their time and talents to support our mission.

🐝💛 Happy National Honey Bee Day! 💛🐝

Today, we’re celebrating one of nature's hardest-working pollinators: the honey bee!

Honey bees do so much more than make honey. They play an important role in pollination, agriculture, and the health of our ecosystems. Their work helps support the plants and food we depend on every day. 🌻🍎🥕🍯

National Honey Bee Day is a wonderful reminder to appreciate these incredible insects and the beekeepers, farmers, educators, volunteers, and advocates who work to support them.

After celebrating all things bees at the 2026 Michigan Honey Festival, we're especially grateful for the incredible community that continues to Keep the Hive Buzzing!
