DIRECTOR & ALUM REUNITE:
Dr. Deena Conley and Kara Vito '24 have re-united as director and performer respectively for the CRT production of BASKERVILLE which opens tonight. Such a dynamic duo!

Kara was last seen under the direction of DC at SUNY Cortland in THE LAST 5 YEARS as Cathy and CABARET as Sally Bowles. Kara is represented by FSETalent. Congratulations to both!

Harry Sperduto has been on the go since graduating in 2025! Fresh off a run of Oklahoma at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, PA, Harry can be seen next in ROCK OF AGES at The Actors Studio of New Jersey playing rock legend Stacee Jaxx, opening this week and running through June 28. If you're in the NJ area, be sure to get out to see Harry rock the stage!

It's closing night for OKLAHOMA at Cortland Repertory Theatre, but the summer has just begun for John Malagrida ('27) and Lizzie Fitzpatrick-Carcamo ('26). As performing interns, John and Lizzie graced the Little York Pavilion Theatre stage as Dream Curly and Laurey...next week they'll be back in the rehearsal room preparing for Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 and will conclude the summer with ANNIE.

Congratulation to John and Lizzie on all their hard work this summer. If you're in the Cortland area, get out to CRT to show your support.

Dominic Green '23 is performing at the prestigious Tuacahn Amphitheatre, Utah's largest professional theatre nestled at the base of Padre Canyon, for their 2026 Broadway outdoor season running now through October.

Dom can be seen as Marlin in Finding Nemo: The Musical, while also appearing in the ensembles of Les Misérables and Grease.

- Associates in Theatre or related field
- Professional or academic experience as a Technical director
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a theatre setting
- Proficiency as a carpenter, draftsman, welder and theatre technician
- Experience with rigging systems and mechanical devices
- Fundamental understanding of lighting and sound design
- Commitment to student centered mentorship in an educational setting

The SUNY Cortland Performing Arts Department is hiring a Full-Time TECHNICAL DIRECTOR. Join a dynamic team in an ever-growing BFA Musical Theatre program in the heart of Central New York.

Responsibilities Include:
- Scenic Construction, Planning & Budgeting
- Staff Supervision & Student Mentorship
- Facilities & Equipment Upkeep/Maintenance
- Collaboration & Production Support

Required Qualifications:
- Professional or academic experience as a Technical Director, including scenic construction.
- Demonstrated proficiency as a carpenter, draftsman, welder, and theatre technician.
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

*BA or BFA in Technical Theatre or a related field preferred.

Anticipated Start Date: Fall Semester 2026
