Those who knew JoDee Hall, 2021 alumna, were fortunate to experience her talent and spirit. A versatile performer who led with passion, and heart, she brought a commanding presence to the stage, captivating audiences with her artistry. Those who had the privilege of hearing her sing knew the power of her voice.

Beyond her artistry, JoDee was a supportive colleague who made those around her feel seen and valued. Her warmth, talent, and care for others left a lasting impression on our community.

She is deeply missed, and JoDee’s voice and the impact she made will continue to resonate throughout the halls of the Dowd Performing Arts Building. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created, and the community she helped shape.

FACULTY SPOTLIGHT:
Professor and Scenic Designer Scott Holdredge has been spreading his creativity this summer beginning with contributing scenic designs to the Cortland Rep. production of OKLAHOMA before diving fully into the season at Franklin Stage Company where he is resident Scenic and Lighting Designer. Franklin Stage closes out it's 30th Anniversary summer season with The Civilities by Kyle Bass, opening this week and running though Aug. 23. Congratulations to Scott!

ALUMNI NEWS:
We wish a Happy Opening to Doug Robbins '11, Director of ANNIE at Cortland Repertory Theatre. Since leaving Cortland, Dougie has become a regular dance instructor at the Broadway Dance Center, has worked internationally in Taipei, Taiwan and recently graduated with an MFA in directing from the Actor's Studio Drama School. Cortland audiences may remember Dougie as Sweeney in "Sweeney Todd" or Man in Chair in "The Drowsy Chaperone".

Jeff Brooks ('04) has had an incredible year! After completing the National Tour of DEAR EVAN HANSEN playing the role of Larry Murphy, Jeff spent the holiday season in the tour of ELF: The Musical as Walter Hobbs. Currently, Jeff is on the road with National Tour of BEETLEJUICE The Musical in the role of Chales Deetz which just finished an extended sit-down at the National Theatre in Washington D.C.
