In August of 2022, we visited Neah Bay in Washington. It is the most Northwestern point in the U.S.
I did a few drone flights around the cliffs and coves on the walk and on this one I found this secluded little beach. How amazing would that be to just kayak up to it and have the whole place to yourself ?
Turn on your sound to get a feeling for the crashing ocean waves in this magnificent little cove.

Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You might just find out that it is better then where you have been stuck your whole life.

There is just something magical when you are camped out in the desert with no neighbors for miles around. This is how we were meant to live. Not cramped into what society deems “correct” in your cookie cutter neighborhoods and jobs that keep you prisoner in a cubicle like a rat in a cage.

This saguaro cactus is probably over 100 years old. As long as it has sat in this desert, thousands of people have probably walked by it and never noticed that is was growing into the giant it is today. They only grow about an inch a year, so it is easy to miss. The same thing applies to you and I. Even though nobody is noticing , you have to keep growing a little each day, week or month, until you reach those heights that you want to attain.

Fort Casey State Park.
The fort was one of three that was used for the defense of the Puget Sound. The other two, Fort Flagler and Fort Worden formed a triangle of defense against invading ships. Construction began in 1897 and by 1901 “disappearing” guns were installed on the upper levels. By 1903 it became almost obsolete as soon as it was constructed due to the development of military aircraft that made it a vulnerable target.

I‘m done with editing vertical to suit the social media outlets that cater to 20 year olds who dont know how to turn their camera sideways when filming something. Do you watch television vertical? So turn your phone so it’s fullscreen and click the little X so you can hear the volume.

On the way down to Southern California we made a stop at Jedediah Smith Redwoods state park to see these giants that are anywhere from 500-2000 years old. The sheer size cannot be appreciated until you stand next to one of them and look up and think about just how much change that single tree has seen in its lifetime.
