The soundtrack of America, live on stage!
On April 18, the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra presents An American Celebration, a concert honoring 250 years of history, culture, and sound through music that helped define a nation.
This program highlights three iconic American composers:
Leonard Bernstein — Opening with the Overture to Candide, a fast-paced, brilliant work filled with energy and theatrical flair.
Morton Gould — American Salute transforms “When Johnny Comes Marching Home” into a dynamic, evolving showcase of American sound.
George Gershwin — Featuring Variations on “I’ve Got Rhythm” and the legendary Rhapsody in Blue, blending jazz and classical music into something unmistakably American.
Joining us for this special evening are internationally acclaimed pianist Norman Krieger and area choirs, bringing a powerful sense of community to the stage.
