Introducing Cinderella and her Stepsisters played by Montse Cabrera, Carmen Freeman, and Cecile Pham!

MONTSE CABRERA (Cinderella) is delighted to debut in her first Coronado Playhouse show! Recent credits include; Dive Bar Time Machine (Blindspot Collective), Karaoke Dreams (La Jolla Playhouse WOW 2026), On Your Feet! as Gloria Estefan and The Importance of Being Earnest as Cecily Cardew (Southwestern College), In Pieces (Teatro San Diego) and a Broadway World San Diego nominated performance of James and the Giant Peach (Spider), among other productions.

CARMEN FREEMAN (Florinda) is ecstatic to be a part of this production! She is currently studying to obtain her double A.A. In Theater Arts & Musical Theater at San Diego City College. Previous local credits include Soccer Mom In Point Loma Playhouse’s production of The Wolves (2026), The Narrator in San Diego City College Theater’s production of Into The Woods (2026), and Adult Woman in San Diego City College Theater’s production of Spring Awakening (2025). She has a deep passion for theater! She wants to thank her friends and family for the constant love, support, and motivation to follow her dreams!

CECILE PHAM (Lucinda) is overjoyed to return to Coronado Playhouse. Past credits include Ensemble/Lead Player Understudy - Pippin (2025), Ensemble Hot Box Girl (Mimi) - Guys & Dolls (2019) and Connie - A Chorus Line (2016). She has also appeared as Mrs. Jefferson - Rent (2023) at Wildsong Productions, Christmas Eve - AvenueQ (2018-2019) at the OB Playhouse, Liat - South Pacific (2007) with CCT, and Rosa Bud in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1999) at UCSD.

Meet our Stage Management Team!

GABY MENDOZA is excited to return as stage manager for Coronado Playhouse. Past stage management credits include: Karaoke Dreams at Blindspot Collective (2025 & 2026), Sweeney Todd at CPH (2024), Exit, Pursued By a Bear at CPH (2024), Puffs at Fenix Theatre Collaborative (2022), Puffs at The Eastern (2019), and the annual Showcase at UCLA HOOLIGAN Theatre Company (2016). Performance credits at CPH include: Hot Box Girl in Guys and Dolls (2019), Muse Swing in Xanadu (2023), and Ensemble in Curtains (2025), Tuck Everlasting (2024), and The SpongeBob Musical (2022).

KYLE WATERMAN has served in a variety of positions in the last few years here at CPH; everything from performing in shows like Tuck Everlasting and the Holiday Cabarets, to building the sets for many shows as the Master Carpenter. Most recently you may have seen his work as the Scenic and Lighting Designer for Arsenic and Old Lace in August. In addition to Kyle’s work at CPH, he can also be found around town working as a Technical Director, Prop & Puppet maker, Choreographer, Theatre Educator, and Carpenter. Other CPH credits include: Drowsy Chaperone, Mountain Song, Tuck Everlasting (Set Design),and Nine (Performance Stage Manager).

Introducing the Music Directors behind Coronado Playhouse's Into the Woods, Joe Kao and Desha Crownover!

JOE KAO (Co-Music Director) is excited to return to the Coronado Playhouse as a co-music director with this incredible creative team and cast. Other credits include Underground (Blindspot Collective), The Old Man and the Old Man and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with CPH; Lit and Hall Pass with Blindspot Collective; and Mamma Mia at Encore! Theater. He would like to thank the cast, crew, and production team for their unwavering support and thank you for supporting live theater.

DESHA CROWNOVER (Co-Music Director) has been a theatre artist and educator in San Diego for more than 30 years and currently serves as Executive Director of San Diego Junior Theatre, where she has been part of the artistic community since 1996. Before stepping into executive leadership, Desha spent 15 years as JT’s Artistic Director and has directed and music directed productions throughout San Diego. She is a longtime collaborator with Coronado Playhouse, where she served on the Board of Directors for eight years, including three years as Board President. Desha is delighted to return to the music of Into the Woods—a show that only seems to reveal more of itself every time you venture back into the woods.
