Hey, hi! I figured I should introduce myself, and show you my face. My name is Dre (she/her)! I am the owner behind - give us a follow if ya haven’t! And if you have, THANK YOU. This is a dream come true and a terrifying leap of faith, but y’all have already extended SO MUCH love my way. Thank you 🥹
My background doesn’t matter much because I fully believe in working with you and our community to make the Lab a magical, collaborative space together. Our mission here is simple: build and share a creative safe space — accessibility, affordability and sustainability are our core values. Most of the space and items/art you’ll see here are second hand, acquired in art trade or gift, well-loved from my own home or those I love, found at thrift stores or curbside… and now given new lives. ✨
We accept donated art supplies to keep costs low to ensure lower costs for participants AND we’re working on a scholarship program for free classes.
Paid workshops, open lab hours, rentals and… later this summer… a community darkroom!
