The Backstage Heros!!
Our stage crew not only worked the wings and moved the things, but they also decorated and built a large portion of our set!!

Aubrey Gast's [Set Construction Lead] Since their inaugural summer youth camp in 2022, she has been a dedicated member of DCTC. She served as a stage crew member for Alice in Wonderland(2022) and performed as Caroline in A Christmas Carol, Tinkerbell in Peter Pan (2023), Abigail in The Sword in the Stone (2025). This year, Aubrey is excited to contribute her artistic abilities as a crew member for The Wizard of Oz.

Calvin Dunn [Stagehand] is 12 years old and entering 7th grade. He is excited to be part of the stage crew for this production. Calvin previously appeared as Balthazar the Bard in Much Ado About Nothing and has also participated in Odyssey of the Mind. He also enjoys playing baseball and violin, horseback riding, and gardening.

Emeri Salinas [Costume Assistant] is brand new to the DCTC program this year and joined the fabulous crew! She helped create many of the pieces seen on stage as well as helped our costume lead with over 100 costumes for the show!

Linus Dunn [Stagehand] is 12 years old and entering 7th grade. He is looking forward to serving on the stage crew for this production. Linus previously appeared as Snug the Lion in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and has also participated in Odyssey of the Mind. When he is not at the theater, he enjoys robotics, drawing, filmmaking, and building with LEGOs.

Michael Godfey [Assistant Stage Manager] a long time member of DCTC as an actor, Michael stepped into the role of ASM with serious dedication and great leadership. He is also the wonder cinematographer/editor behind our latest promo videos!

Porter Turner [Assistant Prop Master] has been with the DCTC youth camps since their start! Porter has gone back and forth from performer to stage crew, filling both roles with great work ethic and talent!

Lois Taylor [Props Master] is thirteen years old and loves being a part of theatre. She has performed in the ensemble cast of the Nauvoo Pageant and also participated in four seasons of Drama Kids on the Block with ensemble roles in several pop culture parodies. This is Lois’s second season participating in the stage crew with DCTC and she couldn’t be happier to be back in black.

Our lovely Jitter Bugs will put an song worm in your ear and some jazz into your step!

Afton Ralston [Dance Captain; Winkie Leader/Jitterbug] has been dancing and performing from her earliest years. She has performed with DCTC in past camps: Peter Pan (Flower Fairy), Beauty and the Beast (Capt of the Guard), The Sword in the Stone (Morgana) and Romeo & Juliet in 10 Minutes (Romeo). In addition to camps, she has also been WAC Jill in The Mouse That Roared and Little Fan in A Christmas Carol. Afton has been a Student Director previously and is excited to have been asked to be Dance Captain at this year's camp, as dance is her passion! She hopes to one day be a choreographer.

Alice Dunn [Jitter Bug/Winkie] is 10 years old and entering 5th grade. She is excited to be part of the ensemble in The Wizard of Oz. Alice previously appeared as Baby Bear in Shrek! the Musical and has also participated in Odyssey of the Mind. Alice enjoys tap dance, hip hop, playing the piano, and spending time with her friends.

Ivey Hawkins [Jitter Bug/Winkie] is thrilled to be back on stage with DCTC this summer. She has performed in two productions of Christmas Carol as Want/Ignorance, last year’s summer camp production of The Sword in the Stone and also in the mini camp last Spring as one of the Three Little Pigs. She always learns so much and has a blast with all her friends at DCTC! When she’s not performing you will find her outside catching lizards and playing with her goats.

Sophie Dunn [Jitter Bug/Winkie] is 12 years old and entering 7th grade. She is excited to be part of the ensemble in The Wizard of Oz. Sophie previously appeared as Puss in Boots in Shrek the Musical! and Hugh Oatcake in Much Ado About Nothing, and she has also participated in Odyssey of the Mind. Sophie enjoys horseback riding, playing the clarinet and piano, and spending time with her friends.

Rielle Salinas [Jitter Bug/Winkie] Joins us for her second year with DCTC! Previously, Reille was ensemble in The Sword in the Stone in the summer of 2025. We are thrilled to have her back with us once again and lighting up the stage with her smile and dance!

You cannot have Dorothy without her ever faithful companion: Toto!! A challenging role as it requires the performer to be in every scene during the show, these young performers are up to the task and you can catch them in action June 20th!!!

Micah Scharmann [Toto 1 pm Cast] made his debut performance with DCTC when he played a Lost Boy in Peter Pan. Since then he has had multiple roles, including Monkey Servant in The Beauty and the Beast 2024, School Boy in A Christmas Carol 2023 and 2024, and Wart in Sword in the Stone 2025. He is so excited for the unique opportunity to operate a puppet this year as Toto!

Ben William [Toto 6 pm Cast] is truly excited to be playing Toto! He is ten years old and has been inspired by musical theatre since he was very young, taking the stage at four years old. This will be Ben's 9th show! His most favorite roles have been Sandy (Annie) and Mike Teavee (W***y Wonka.) Fun Facts: Ben often medals in golf tournaments, the annual Great American Fly Off Paper Airplane contest, and plays on the All Star baseball team. Ben would like to give much thanks to DCTC and to all of you for coming on this adventure somewhere over the rainbow- enjoy the show! Woof Woof
