October 1972: Storm King Theater showed its last film.
June 1973: the New York Knicks won their last championship.
For 52 years, Knicks fans waited to celebrate another championship, and Storm King Theater waited to welcome audiences back for films. This year, both finally got their encore. We have come full circle.
We had the pleasure of hosting the Cornwall-on-Hudson community, in partnership with the cornwall-on-hudson elementary pto, for a family friendly viewing party, and it was the most perfect way to experience NY magic. The excitement from the kids with their chants and pom poms, the greatest band of all time, Mulch Madness, bringing big Knicks energy, and a room filled with friends and neighbors experiencing history together is exactly what we aim to achieve.
Thank you to the COH PTO, the staff at Storm King Lounge & Fare and everyone who came out for our first community viewing party. We made history!!!
Now, let’s hope we don’t have to wait 52 years again and we get an encore next year so we view the sequel on the REAL screen inside Storm King Theater. 🧡💙🧡
Congratulations New York Knicks! Go NY, Go NY, Go! 🥳🥳🥳
