🔥 HOT NEW CREATIONS! Currently featured at West End Gallery: Flameworked "Ramen" pendants made by AARON ROVNER-BUCK of Dojo Glass! Aaron has won multiple awards for these pendants in the World Series of Glass at the Glass Vegas Expo.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: The product of two glassblowing parents, Aaron has been immersed in the world of glass and art since birth. Born and raised in Corning, New York “The Crystal City” and home of the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass, Aaron grew up watching and learning from the most prominent and influential glassblowers in the world. Aaron’s father worked at the Steuben glass factory, internationally known for its highly skilled, hand crafted lead-crystal glass creations. Aaron’s mother started the first public access glass studio in Corning in 1991, which she still owns and operates today.

Aaron strives to carry forward this deep history of glass within his own designs, while also bringing his own, more modern aesthetic to his creations. A combination of longstanding tradition and contemporary perspective are what make Aaron’s work timeless and unique.

ARTIST STATEMENT: “I draw inspiration from the deep history of glassblowing in my family and in my hometown. Growing up I was exposed to many different styles and points of view within the glass art community. I draw from the diversity and breadth of my upbringing in the glass world to inform my own designs.” ~ Aaron Rovner-Buck

Aaron is represented by West End Gallery - 12 West Market Street in Corning, NY in Corning's Gaffer District. View a sampling of Aaron’s creations online: https://www.westendgallery.net/project/aaron-rovner-buck/

🔥 HOT NEW CREATIONS! Currently featured in our front window display: "Thrown & Blown" sculptures created by ALAN & ROSEMARY BENNETT in collaboration with David Goldhagen and Lisa Oakley.

"Thrown & Blown" refers to the process used to create the "Tornadoes", "Bumpy Bowls, and "Sandblasted Vessels". This work is the result of a unique process where Alan throws a wet clay form on the potter's wheel. Next, for the "Tornadoes", Alan adds clay coils to the inside of the form to create a tornado shape. The tornado forms include copper cut outs of Alan, Rosemary, Walter (their cat), lightning bolts, and hearts created by Rosemary which are added to the hot glass. On the other forms, Alan pokes his fingers through the wet clay so that the hot glass will go through the holes creating “bumps” or "fingers". David and Lisa then gather and blow hot glass into the wet clay mold. The wet clay is cut away from the hot glass immediately. David and Lisa then refine the forms.

About ALAN & ROSEMARY BENNETT:

Alan received an MFA in Ceramics from Ohio State University and a BFA in drawing and painting from Arizona State University.

Rosemary has a B.A.E. from Ohio State University. Alan and Rosemary met at OSU in 1980. Alan worked as a designer and technical consultant for El Palomar Ceramics in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico. We started this business together in Bath, New York, as full time clay artists since 1990.

Alan & Rosemary are represented by West End Gallery. Their clay fish creations are on exhibit year-round at the West End Gallery - 12 West Market Street in Corning, NY in Corning's Gaffer District

🔥 WELCOME PER MANUS STUDIO! We're pleased to welcome Per Manus Studio to the West End Gallery! These STUNNING sculptural lighting objects are designed and assembled by Riad Shalaby, the founder of Per Manus Studio, in collaboration with glass artist, Ross Delano, and Trevor Carmody, wood craftsman.

RIAD SHLABY founded Per Manus Studio to explore the relationship between sculpture, material, and light. Drawing from four decades of leadership across global enterprises and early-stage ventures, the studio develops sculptural lighting objects in hot glass, hardwood, and light for designers, architects, and collectors. Each work is lived with before it is released — grounding the studio’s approach in direct experience of light, atmosphere, and space.

ROSS DELANO creates the Glass Spires in Corning, NY. Ross has worked with hot glass for over two decades and has taught at the Corning Museum of Glass for ten years. He holds a master’s degree in design management from Pratt Institute and brings a combination of material expertise, design rigor, and production knowledge to the studio. His work bridges traditional hot-glass technique with contemporary design practice. West End Gallery has been honored to represent Ross Delano for nearly a decade.

TREVOR CARMODY creates the wood pedestals. Trevor Carmody is a Finger Lakes–based craftsman specializing in fine woodworking and custom fabrication, with two decades of experience. His work is defined by structural clarity, precision, and durability. At Per Manus Studio, he develops wood components and fabrication strategies in dialogue with glass and light.

At Per Manus Studio, ROHAN TONGYA develops the website and digital platform as an extension of the physical work, ensuring the studio’s philosophy and process are communicated with clarity and restraint.
