We’re looking for a Member Engagement Chair!

The North Mecklenburg Community Chorus Board is seeking a volunteer to serve as our Member Engagement Chair.

This role focuses on helping every singer feel welcomed, informed, and connected throughout the season. Responsibilities include: coordinating new member onboarding, supporting a mentor program, organizing social activities, fostering communication between the Board and singers, and helping strengthen singer retention and engagement.

Because this role serves as a direct connection between the Board and our singers, the person filling this position should be an active member of the chorus and available to attend most rehearsals.

The North Mecklenburg Community Chorus is thrilled to be part of Charlotte Sings! 2026 Concert Session 1 on Saturday, September 19 at 2:00 PM.

We’re honored to join choruses and vocal ensembles from across the Charlotte region in a celebration of community, connection, and the joy of singing. Plus, proceeds from the event will support CMS Choral Music Education programs.

We hope you’ll come out and celebrate the power of music with us! 💖

Do you enjoy welcoming new people, building connections, and helping others feel included?

We’re seeking a Member Engagement Chair to join the North Mecklenburg Community Chorus Board. This role helps create a positive experience for all singers by overseeing new member onboarding, mentorship opportunities, singer communications, social gatherings, and other engagement initiatives.

Since this position works closely with singers throughout the season, the ideal candidate is a current chorus member who can attend most rehearsals and be actively involved in chorus activities.
