The greatest event in history, recreated on stage March 21-24, the Mid-America Passion Play, The Promised One, returns to the Mid-South in 2024 under the direction of Dr. James D. With a cast, crew, pit vocalists and orchestra of over 250, more than 5,000 attend each year at Mid-America Seminary, across from Bellevue Baptist Church. . Whitmire, for nearly four decades, produced and directed the Memphis Passion Play, Jacksonville (Florida) Passion Play, Uruguay Passion Play, and now the Mid-America Passion Play. Thanks to generous volunteers and donors, over 200 professions of faith have been made to date at this location and over 100,000 at prior presentations. The large-stage, musical production will take advantage of Mid-America Seminary’s auditorium venue at 2095 Appling Rd, Cordova TN 38016. FAQ - Can I bring my children? Mid-America Passion Play is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome. However, some elements of the presentation may be intense for small children.
