Due to weather, the Blue Devil Day Pep Rally has been moved to the gym! Toybowl at 6:00pm, pep rally starts at 7:00pm. We hope to see you there!

We are so thankful our cheerleaders were able to come practice with us today for Blue Devil Day! Come out and see us all at Indian Head Park at 7pm for the community pep rally!

Cordova Band Alumni: I need some help! I am working on a few projects in the band room and need some pictures!

First: I am updating the Wall of Fame. If you went on to march in college or join the military, please send me a picture of your in your college band or military uniform with you name and the years you were in Cordova's Band.

Second: I am wanting to make a poster celebrating the history and tradition of the Cordova Blue Devil Band. If you have any good pictures of the band performing, rehearsing, or anything else I would love to have them. I'll accept photos for this project for two weeks, ending on the 20th.

We have been hard at work for the past 3 weeks preparing our halftime show! We are so excited to share it with the community! Our next performance will be at the Blue Devil Day Pep Rally on Saturday, August 8th at 7pm. Blue Devil Day will be at Indian Head Park.

Come and support the band by purchasing a Cordova Blue Devils blanket from the Band Boosters at Blue Devil Day for $30! They are huge and super soft! Our supply is limited to make sure you get there early to buy yours.

We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Laura Lee Barrett has been named principal of Cordova High School. Her appointment marks a well-deserved recognition of her exceptional leadership, dedication, and deep commitment to our school community.

Mrs. Barrett’s journey at Cordova spans more than a decade. She began her career here in 2011, teaching English for five years before transitioning to Sumiton Elementary School where she served as school counselor for six years. Four years ago, she returned to Cordova as counselor/assistant principal, where she has continued to demonstrate the vision and excellence that define her work as an educator.

With 15 years of service to Walker County schools, Mrs. Barrett brings a wealth of experience, perspective, and heart to this role. Her relationships with students, staff, and families run deep, and her leadership has already made a meaningful impact on our school.

Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Barrett’s well-earned advancement. We look forward to the continued growth and success of Cordova High School under her leadership.

Our 2026 show theme has been revealed! “Weathered” tells a story of a bright and sunny day turned dark and dreary as a storm approaches. Our show will feature hit songs such as Mr Blue Sky, In the Air, Blown Away, Singing in the Rain, and Umbrella! We hope you take the time this season to see us!
