The rodeo takes place July 11-12-13-14, 2024 at Corcoran Lions Park at 7:30 pm each night and at 1 pm on July 13th. Every year, proceeds from the Hamel Rodeo go back to five community organizations, and in the last 42 years, the rodeo has raised over $3 million for the community. Come out, make memories with your family and friends, and enjoy a good time at the Hamel Rodeo!

On Tuesday, the MN Lions Childhood Cancer Foundation trustees visited the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital to be recognized for donating $1 million in just 6 years!
“It’s all due to the generosity of hundreds of Lions Clubs in Minnesota,” says Gary Stevens, “and the Hamel Rodeo. The Hamel Rodeo is the largest individual contributor to the MN Lions Childhood Cancer Foundation.
The rodeo is so honored to be able to help in the fight against pediatric cancer, from helping individual families with kids fighting cancer to donating for research. 💪

So... this bull, Squirrel, has a special story. Cooper James won the rodeo on him, but Squirrel's story goes way back.....

Squirrel's mom died from lightning when he was 3 years old. He lived in Scipio, Utah, with the Rafter R Hauling & Cattle Company, L.L.C company. He raised himself... and he's bucked since day one, Rafter R says!
"He's dog gentle," they said. "We named him "Bad Squirrel" because he was a cool-looking calf and always had some tricks to get guys bucked off, but the good guys can have fun on him."

Squirrel left Rafter R and went to live with the Pickett Pro Rodeo family in Texas and he's living his best life there!
We love our rodeo animals!
