112 years ago today, people gathered here for the very first time. 🤍

The old records from the Hall say simply:

“September 4th — First meeting at the Hall.”

Construction had begun months earlier, but September 4, 1914 was the first time this little building did what it was built to do — bring people together.

112 years later, that’s still what happens here. Weddings, celebrations, families, friends, music, dinners, laughter… a whole lot has changed, but that part really hasn’t.

Happy 112 years of gathering, Hummingbird Hall. 🤍

Here’s to the people who built it, the people who have cared for it, and everyone who has walked through its doors since.

Madeline + Madison’s wedding was such a beautiful burst of color at Hummingbird Hall. 🤍

Colorful flowers, mismatched dresses, live music, kids running through the lawn—and so much joy woven through the entire day.

Their celebration moved throughout Hummingbird Hall, from a ceremony in the Sanctuary to time outside on the lawn, dinner in the Lower Hall, and dancing back upstairs. I love seeing couples use the different spaces here in ways that feel completely their own.

This gallery is also such a lovely reminder that there really isn't one right way for a wedding to look or feel. Hummingbird Hall is a place for you to bring your people, your personality, and your version of a beautiful day.

McKenna + MacGregor 🤍

I stopped by Hummingbird Hall the morning before their July wedding while they were setting up, and even then I could see how much care and personality they were putting into the day. So getting to see how it all came together through these photos was especially fun.

Their wedding used nearly every part of Hummingbird Hall—from a full chapel ceremony and portraits at nearby Crown Point to lawn games, dinner downstairs, and dancing in the backyard on a beautiful summer evening.

But I think my favorite part is seeing all of their personal touches woven through the day. It felt very much like *their* wedding, which is exactly how it should be.

Congratulations, McKenna + MacGregor. Thank you for choosing Hummingbird Hall to be part of it. 🤍

I love that every wedding at Hummingbird Hall tells a different story.

Allie and Isaac exchanged vows in our little 1914 chapel, then took a short drive to one of the Columbia Gorge's most iconic viewpoints for portraits before returning to celebrate with family and friends.

It's one of my favorite things about being in this part of Oregon. You don't have to choose between the charm of a historic chapel and the beauty of the Gorge—you can enjoy both in the same wedding day.

Congratulations to Allie and Isaac, and thank you for allowing Hummingbird Hall to be part of such a beautiful celebration. Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures together. 🤍

One of my favorite things about intimate weddings is how much room they leave for the moments that matter.

Going through our wedding photos today and realizing how many of my favorite moments weren’t the big centerpiece moments at all.
