A new West Hills Art League membership year is officially underway, and we’re excited to kick off our 2026–2027 creative year!

Our September newsletter is packed with information about what’s ahead, including:

- Our September 17 membership meeting, featuring our Summer Challenge Show & Share and a potluck
- Our 59th Anniversary Show, opening September 26 at the Coraopolis Community Center
- The Coraopolis Fall Festival Art Walk on September 26

PITTSBURGH PRINTX 2026 - COME CELEBRATE PRINTMAKING!

The artwork is on the walls, and we’re getting ready to celebrate an amazing group of printmakers at Pittsburgh PRINTX 2026!

Join us at Ketchup City Creative for an exhibition celebrating original printmaking artwork made by real-life human hands.

OPENING RECEPTION
Friday, August 21 • 6–8 PM
Come meet the artists, see the show, enjoy some tasty treats provided by Sue Cook, and listen to live music provided by James Tobin!

Don’t forget to vote for the People’s Choice Award during the reception!

Awards will be presented at 7 PM!

This year’s exhibition juror is Kim Freithaler, an award-winning Pittsburgh-area painter, art educator, and arts administrator. Originally from New York City, Freithaler earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from St. John’s University and studied at the Art Students League in Manhattan. She has worked as an artist and educator throughout her career and has exhibited her artwork in galleries and other venues.

Freithaler’s artistic practice encompasses oil painting, acrylics, watercolor, portraits, landscapes, animal portraits, and murals. Her experience as both a practicing artist and arts educator brings a broad perspective to the judging process for Pittsburgh PRINTX 2026.

As juror, Freithaler will select the First, Second, and Third Place awards, recognizing outstanding work represented in the exhibition.

What a beautiful day! Thank you to everyone who came out for out West Hills Art League Pot Luck Picnic! It was so nice to get a chance to connect with our friends and meet new ones too! Plus, the food was amazing!
