Celebrate the opening of the Abandoned Vehicles of the Everglades' Art Week exhibit at the Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables with a special verrnissage on December 5th at 7pm.
Through a breathtaking, highly artistic form of night photography, the beauty of abandoned and historic vehicles discarded over the years throughout the vast Everglades eco-system is brought to life in Abandoned Vehicles of the Everglades.

Photographed by Matt Stock Photography and conceived in partnership with entrepreneur Charles J. Kropke the project is the culmination of a 10-year plan to capture the striking beauty of vehicles that have been left behind in the Everglades.
Model T’s, military vehicles, construction cranes, buses, automobiles, vans, airplanes and other vehicles representing every decade and wheel configuration since the motorized ‘horseless carriage’ was invented were tracked through one of the most important wetland ecosystems in North America, and, for a variety of reasons, abandoned and forgotten.

By investigating rumors, analyzing satellite imagery, and utilizing a network of Gladesman, the artists have re-discovered and re-envisioned dozens of these forgotten relics.

This project is the story of those vehicles.
