Were you there when The Best Little Wh******se in Texas premiered at the 163rd Street & Patio Theater in 1982?

"Forty years later, Coral Gables Art Cinema screened the film as part of its Musicals for Members series — and the film had lost none of its power. 'It brought undeniable joy to our audience,' Gables Cinema CEO & Programming Director Brenda Moe tells Miami New Times, 'and showcased Dolly’s unparalleled ability to tell a story through song, with humor, heart, and a charisma only she could deliver.'"

This weekend, don’t miss SUMMER TOUR ☀️ 🚍 a love letter to generations of Deadhead culture directed by Mischa Richter and produced by Chloë Sevigny. 💀 ⚡️

A young couple, Jerry and Annie, set out on the road to follow Dead & Company on their final tour, immersing themselves in the vibrant, nomadic community that has long surrounded the music of the Grateful Dead. From dusty parking lots to packed stadiums, they make their way busking and selling handmade clothes on ‘the lot.’

Shot on 16mm film, this poetic documentary paints a portrait of the band through the fans, capturing a unique perspective of the scene and community.

“The film is a beautiful escape into another world. It’s a love letter to the Dead but I think also to anybody that loves filmmaking.” —Chloë Sevigny
