Some closeups of the demo pieces...the little meditating head is a rattle and the bowl is all textured pieces smooshed together to create this beautiful bowl. I've really enjoyed teaching handbuilding over the past few months 🥰

First kiln firing of 2026 😁 This was a bisque firing of half dome molds for one of the upcoming Beginning Pottery classes that I'm teaching at the Coquille Valley Art Association. The others are all class demonstration pieces and I have more in my damp room drying slowly. I'm going to have so much glazing to do during the class break 😳

Christmas tress before and after glaze firing...I'm really happy with these. They took me quite a while to make and I'll be showing them at the Coquille Valley Art Center's artists holiday sale on the 13th 🙂

Before and after firing. My kiln overfired a bit, but I ended up with some really beautiful glaze results and only one little drip that stuck to the "cookies" I used to protect my shelves. So happy everything made it...now I've gotta get the second load done.
