Question for my Industry friends...
Songwriter (A) signs a writers publishing deal to exclusively write songs for Publisher (B).

Songwriter agrees to receive a salary and not receive royalties until Publisher (B) is recouped from any songs recorded and released by Artist(S) (C).

Publisher (B) sells whole company and catalog before writer (A) starts earning any royalties.

Will New Publisher (D) keep track of royalties credited to songwriter (A) or is his contract void and not need to be recouped before being paid royalties?
