It’s with heavy hearts that we announce Stumpy’s Hatchet House – C**n Rapids is now permanently closed.
This is not the outcome we ever wanted. We poured our time, resources, and hearts into building a place where people could come together, laugh, and make memories that would last a lifetime.
Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control have forced us to close our doors. It has been an emotional journey and while this chapter is closing, the memories made inside these walls will always stay with us.
We want to express our sincere appreciation to the Minnesota Department of Commerce and the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office for taking the time to review and consider our situation. Their willingness to listen and support Minnesota business owners means more than we can say.
To anyone dreaming about starting a business or investing — please, be cautious. Even if you believe you’ve done your due diligence, do it again. Ask more questions, dig deeper, and protect yourself. No one should ever find themselves in the position we did.
To everyone who walked through our doors, threw an axe, shared a drink, or celebrated a moment with us — thank you. We are truly grateful for every single person who supported us along the way.
We genuinely believed we would be a staple in this community for years to come. Sadly, that’s not how the story ends — but the memories, laughter, and friendships will always remain.
