We are very excited to announce the grand opening of SALT CREEK OUTPOST!
Ever since we took over the old Rosie's Bar space at the beginning of this year, we have been working hard to create a new community focused gathering space where we highlight craft scratch-made food, host community markets and private events, and be a great landing spot for picnic supplies before a hike, some soft serve or a cold b**r after a long journey.
Salt Creek Outpost is at the head of the Salt Creek Loop trail, which is part of the Auburn State Recreation Area. “The Outpost” is family owned and run on generations of passion for hospitality and food service. From grandmother Patricia who owned The Heirloom Bed and Breakfast in Ione, to Pitto's Bar who served the prospectors from the Gold Rush era, our family cares about taking care of travelers and our community. Add that to my degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management from Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco and Political Science: Public Service from UC Davis; you are in good hands.
We are so excited to announce the newest offerings we have!
• COOL Community Markets! Every Thursday from 5-8pm. We are hosting local farmers and artisans to bring you the best produce, baked goods, and crafts from our community!
• Starting Labor Day weekend, we will have a partnership with Baker and Cakemaker to offer high-end pastries and breakfast items Thursday-Sunday. Their sliced sandwich bread and artisan loaves will also be available for purchase.
• Acai and soft serve! With our new soft serve machines, we are excited to have fresh acai (dairy free) for smoothie bowls and soft serve (and scoop ice cream) for a large variety of cone and sundae options!
• House made sauces and dressings for sale including Caesar, house vinaigrette, pickles made from hand-picked local cucumbers, blackberry and peach jam, handmade pies, and more!
