I did not have some perfectly mapped-out path into tattooing. I just kept making art, kept trying creative things, taught myself skills I needed along the way… and eventually one opportunity changed everything.

Getting my apprenticeship was part persistence, part timing, and a whole lot of being willing to start at the bottom and learn.

Now I get to make art on people for a living, keep growing under artists with decades of experience, and somehow all those weird little jobs and skills I picked up along the way actually make sense.

Turns out the plot was plotting. 😂

If you’re curious about what a tattoo apprenticeship actually looks like, stick around — I’ll keep sharing the stuff nobody told me before I started.

A little peek at the space where I get to learn, create, and tattoo. 🖤

This place has become such a big part of this season of my life — drawing, practicing, tattooing, learning from artists with years of experience, and slowly becoming the artist I’ve wanted to be.

If you’re new here: I’m a tattoo apprentice in Cookeville, TN, currently offering select flash designs while I keep building my skills and portfolio.
