Step aside, Agrabah, Jack Howard has entered the scene. 🕌✨ An 8th grader and returning performer, Jack takes the stage in his second Prescott production as Kassim, one of Aladdin’s loyal (and lovable) sidekicks. After commanding the stage as Mufasa in last year’s The Lion King, he’s back with the same powerful presence and rich, standout vocals that captivate every audience.
).Why should people come see the show? It is WAYYYYYYYYY better than you would ever expect for a school show. I had only been to small schools that barely supported the arts before coming to Prescott, and I'm still shocked at what we can do here.
).Favorite song in Aladdin: It’s a hard choice, but my favorite would have to be either "Proud Of Your Boy" or "High Adventure." "Proud of Your Boy" isa great song in general, and our Aladdin KILLS those notes. But, "High Adventure" is not only one of my songs, but also has a really cool-looking fight scene so… Both!
).What makes this cast special? It has 106 kids in it, and that was mainly because during casting everyone was so good that they just couldn't cut anyone!
). Favorite line from the show (yours or someone else’s): Easily one of the best lines in the show is, " _________________________________." Did you really think I would tell you? It’s a comedy bit, and I can’t spoil the joke. But it’s early in the first act and said by a certain ruler…
). Dream role: Either Hades in Hadestown, or at the complete other end of the vocal spectrum is The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. If you know me, you know how cool I think his songs are, and I’m not much of a theatre nerd myself.
). What is your go-to karaoke or hype song? Depending on my mood, my hype songs could range anywhere from upbeat soul to dirty South music or just some smooth rap.
). If you found a magic lamp, what would YOU wish for? A fun little loophole I thought of: Wish One-- ask for anytime I wish for something (out loud or in my head) it comes true. Wish Two-- a sort of pop-up in my vision appears, giving me all of the consequences of the wish coming true, and allowing me to follow through or cancel it out. Wish Three-- Free the Genie.
