The pass few years have been tough on everyone and sometimes we get bogged down in the day to day survival of living that we allow things to get in the way of pursuing our passions. I have done just that. I have boxed up my passions in boxes waiting for the right opportunity to unbox them and share them with others. May God forgive me for not using the gifts He gave me to their full potential. It is my prayer that He will give me the wisdom resources and a space that is needed to open my art studio and offer classes to individuals who want to tap into their creative side. I do a variety of Arts & Crafts, (pottery, jewelry, painting, crochet, needlepoint, mosaic, fabric , paper, resin, textile and more.) I learn and I teach and encourage (Hope through Art). I work with all ages, kids ,teens, adults and seniors.
This past year has taught me a lot about accepting what I do, as a gift that God gave me. No, it doesn't look like other's gifts and it's not non-essential. What comes to mind is the parable of the talents, Matthew 25:14-30,
James 4:17.
I have undermined God's power and purpose in my life, because of my lack of confidence and my feelings of inadequacy. I just finished reading Rick Warren book, the purpose driven life, a 40 day journey. If you haven't read it I encourage you to read it, preferably with a group of friends. It was life changing for me. My eyes were open to what my purpose is and it helped me accept who I am and my overall S.H.A.P.E. (spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, experiences) and how I am to use them for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
Look forward to hearing more from me as I work on acquiring a physical space. Keep me in your prayers.
