SongRiders "Live" SRL brings Central Arkansas music fans, pro singer/songwriters and artists together for private, up-close "live" music events. Jim Po***ck and Terry B.

Smith reside in Central Arkansas and share a common obsession...songwriting. The two became friends when they were introduced at a "live" songwriter event in Little Rock, AR in 2012 and have been co-writing since. "We had the chance to attend a private house concert not long ago. I was amazed by the turn-out, the talented Craig Caruthers and most importantly the down-home feeling everyone in atten

dance enjoyed. I think we both said, "ya know, we should do something like this..." And so, here we are with Songriders "Live". Events
We bring veteran & "newer" musical artists and established singer/songwriters together with local music fans for private, up-close and personal concert events. Events are social, private, and designed for up to 40 attendees. Our events take place at locations like small club venues and in homes that are appropriate for the "listening room experience". What music fans should expect...

the opportunity to meet interested music fans who have taken time, made a donation, and look forward to meeting you on a personal level. You will find current and new fans alike who want to take in your "brand" of entertainment, songwriting and showmanship.

On the weekend of June 7th, 2024 Bluegrass Unlimited editor Dan Miller will be hosting a three-day songwriting workshop in Harrisburg, Missouri with Brad Davis. Brad is a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who has written songs for many country, rock and bluegrass artists (Tim McGraw, Billy Bob Thornton, Tommy Shaw, Tony Trischka, and many, many more). He has a master’s degree in English with a focus on songwriting from Texas A&M and now teaches audio engineering and songwriting at Texas A&M. He will not only be teaching about writing lyrics and melody, but will also address questions about publishing, pitching songs to artists and bands, recording demos and how to use your instrument to help tell the story of the song.
