Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre www.arkshakes.com The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, based in the heart of Arkansas, is the state’s only professional Shakespeare company.

Each year it produces a selection of the Bard’s plays, along with other productions, in its summer festival in Conway. Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, which has been featured in the New York Times, is also a major educational force in Arkansas, providing performance and production opportunities for central Arkansas school children and and college students at the University of Central Arkansas.

Katherine Greer is honored to be surrounded by such an amazingly talented team of creatives. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Theatre Arts from UA Little Rock. Katie has worked in theatre/dance performance and education in Arkansas for the last decade. Favorite choreography/directing credits include: Much Ado About Nothing (Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre), Mxcbeth & Henry V (Shake on the Lake), Beckett’s Briefs (UA Little Rock), La Cage Aux Folles, Sweet Charity and Follies (Argenta Contemporary Theatre), Dragons Love Tacos (Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts) As You Like It (UA Little Rock) and Trifles (Cat Collective). Favorite acting credits include: Cat in the Hat (Thing 1), Dragons Love Tacos (White Dragon), A Chorus Line (Val), The Addams Family (Grandma), Machinal (Young Woman), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia), Arsenic and Old Lace (Elaine), Threepenny Opera (Mrs. Peachum), As You Like It (Duke Senior, Corin), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Potiphar’s Wife), Sweet Charity (Ursula), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Suzy), The Learned Ladies (Belise), Grease (Frenchy), and Elf the Musical (Jovie).

We love our extraordinary stage manager, Baleigh Almond!

Baleigh Almond is excited to be a part of her first production with AST as the stage manager for As You Like It! Baleigh has a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Henderson State University, and currently works as a theater professional in Little Rock. Her expertise lies in stage management, scenic painting, and acting. Some of her favorite productions to work on in the past include In the Next Room at the Weekend Theater, Dragons Love Tacos at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, and Jitney at The Arkansas Repertory Theater. In her free time, Baleigh enjoys painting, writing, and watching movies with her husband.

Belle is thrilled to be joining the AST family for As You Like It. Having played many different roles, including Little Red (Into the Woods), Matron Mama Morton (Chicago), Rizzo (Grease) and Eponine (Les Miserables), they believe in the transformative power of live theatre and its ability to inspire and provoke meaningful and necessary conversations.
