Bye Bye Birdie is coming to the Historic Crighton Theatre with Stage Right of Texas! Come celebrate the Fourth of July with this high-energy, feel-good golden age musical, based on a moment in pop culture history that would change music forever. It’s packed with iconic songs, big laughs, and a whole lot of fun!

Directed by Ryan Dineen, Bye Bye Birdie is a comedic 1950s-era musical about rock idol Conrad Birdie getting drafted into the Army. To save his failing record label, his manager and secretary orchestrate a publicity stunt for Birdie to give one lucky teenage fan a farewell kiss on The Ed Sullivan Show..

It’s ALIVE!

The Crighton Theatre is seeking actors for FRANKENSTEIN by Victor Gialanella, based on the iconic novel by Mary Shelley, directed by Melody Montez.

🗓 Auditions: July 12 & 13 at 7 PM
📍 Location: Crighton Theatre Lobby (234 N Main St, Conroe, TX 77301)
🎭 Format: Please be prepared for cold readings from the script

Set in nineteenth-century Switzerland, Frankenstein follows young Dr. Victor Frankenstein as he dares to unlock the secrets of life and death—with frightening consequences. This adaptation stays true to Mary Shelley’s original novel, blending suspense, morality, and the dangers of unchecked ambition. It is also a production that plays homage to classic horror, which means you must be comfortable with the dark and gothic as an actor.

✨ Casting 12 roles (8 male / 3 female / 1 boy)
*Please note that the role of the creature will likely involve prosthetics and a full facial mask. The actor must be completely comfortable with this.
