Whoop-Up window paintings have begun! The theme this year is “Classic…(anything as long as it’s western).” Some businesses will feature movies, a tv show, music, America, various Whoop-Up activities, etc. We are hoping this theme will inspire people to create parade floats featuring this same theme. I’ve been using a basic theme of “Living Large” for the 2025 Whoop-Up Windows. With nearly 30 windows to paint, I have a list of various slogans that relate to my western/rodeo drawings. I’m hoping people will get ideas for parade floats from seeing the windows, so please pass the word! Whoop-Up Rodeo is June 6 & 7, with the parade on June 7. See you there!!

Last week took me to Anaconda’s Art in Washoe Park (wonderful booth location near the creek!). I’m now back in the studio, catching up on custom picture-framing orders, and the Montana pressed-flower ornaments and other art that was on display in the park are now back on display (for sale).

I painted almost 30 windows this month to get the community jazzed up for our big Whoop-Up celebration June 7-8. Having a theme makes it fun as well as challenging. This year’s theme is “Whoop-Up, it’s out of this world!” and we hope it also inspires parade floats. Thank you so much to ALL the businesses who support this annual celebration. It’s been a very busy 2021! My sign painting orders are now all caught up, so picture framing orders are top priority again. Since a majority of my custom orders are personalized, I rarely post photos of them. Here’s one that the customer ok’d sharing pictures for an example of a personalized custom order. Honoring others with displays like this is my favorite way to share my talents!
