Universal Trip 2026

Our learning goals were achieved! Our students:
• Learned to navigate an airport
• Became familiar with travel safety and TSA
• Experienced flying
• Built world perspective
• Strengthened responsibility and budgeting skills
• Performed twice for large audiences
• Represented our schools in uncharted territory
• Made memories that will last a lifetime

The students’ behavior was so exemplary on this trip that airline staff and park staff were commending us left and right; shocked to see such respect from a high school group.

Our performances were surprising to viewers who have never seen a “dancing band” before. Our high energy style and enthusiasm brought joy to many, and most park-goers stopped to watch and record us, especially for the parade.

The chaperones and leadership carried their jobs with confidence and love for the students. All students were taken care of at all hours of the day with their support.

And finally, as you look through these photos, it will be tough to find one with no smiles. This trip was an amazing opportunity given to us by our administration and school board that cannot go unnoticed. It was not an easy decision for them to allow us to proceed with the trip, and we are forever grateful that they allowed us to do it.

Thank you, Conneaut residents, parents, alumni, school staff, administration, and board members, for supporting our program and our students. Without your help and fundraising, this was not possible. Go Spartan Band! 💙🎶

As the icing on the cake for our trip, we are so excited to announce that our Field Commander Mitchell McBride had a successful audition, and has made it into the Ohio University Trombone Studio to study Music Performance beginning this fall!

This is a very competitive and selective ensemble. Mitchell worked very hard; he practiced while managing his band, school, and work commitments. We are so incredibly proud of you, Mitchell! Go Spartans, and Go Bobcats! 🎶💙💚
