“Where Hope Takes Root”
Sometimes beauty doesn’t arrive all at once.
It begins quietly—like a single rose standing alone after the storm. The sky is still swirling with color, the earth is still finding its balance, and yet life insists on blooming anyway.
As I poured the acrylics across this 10” round canvas, I saw the shape of a landscape emerge beneath a glowing sky. It felt peaceful, almost dreamlike, but it was asking for something more. So I added a delicate rose, surrounded by butterflies, as if nature itself had paused to celebrate a moment of transformation.
To me, the rose represents courage—the strength to bloom despite everything. The butterflies remind us that change isn’t something to fear. It’s often the very thing that carries us to where we’re meant to be.
To bring the piece to life, I finished it with a crystal-clear, high-gloss resin that creates incredible depth and luminosity. The resin catches the light beautifully, giving the sky a radiant glow and making every detail feel as though it’s suspended beneath glass.
Every person who looks at this piece may see a different story, and I love that. That’s the beauty of abstract art—it leaves room for your own memories, emotions, and imagination.
