Lend Me A Theater

Lend Me A Theater LMAT is a nonprofit, nomadic theater company founded in 2015, performing in NH, ME and MA. Come be a part of our journey!

From heartfelt dramas to laugh‑out‑loud comedies, to our fall audience‑interactive murder mystery show. “Lend Me A Theater” is a collective of artists who have long spent time doing community theatre. Our name derives from a show that we all met at, but also signifies that we are not a company with a designated theater space. We are community members who have gotten together with the goal of 1. Doing theatre projects that are fun, eclectic, and engaging, 2. Educating anyone who is willing on how to design, direct, and act through the use of educational workshops and internships, and 3. Providing an online hub of community theatre where actors and designers can go to find out information on theatres all over the state. This site will include links to all theaters professional and community, and provide information on upcoming shows, audition dates and time, as well as information on theaters in need of actors on short notice. Ultimately, we want to spread our love of theatre to those who may be hesitant to get involved, or who are curious about how to get involved. We will pair theaters with talent, and vice versa, in the hope that the NH theater community will become more connected.

SYNOPSIS
When the rehearsal begins for the TV quiz show It's a Living! who would suspect that before the telecast is over, the hardest problem to solve would be “Who Killed Tony Fabrizi, the show’s sponsor?” And why was he murdered? Was it for the diamond bracelet he had brought for the commercial, or was he shot for personal reasons? Homicide detective Lt. Jim Slate discovers that most of the TV show's cast had motives to murder the man - or could it have been his Italian wife with the fiery temper? Perhaps she knew about her husband's involvement with Marilyn, a girl with knockout looks and horrible voice? Rounds of the fictional game show are actually played during the performance using members of the audience on stage as contestants. With the help of Amanda Maxwell, a little old lady amateur sleuth, Lt. Slate solves the murder at the exciting conclusion to OCCUPATION: MURDER!
