🛑 Stop and Smell the Flowers

💭 I’ve spent the last week or so taking a rest from social media to think on what my goals and aims are for this platform.

👩🏻‍💼 As a Latina Small Business Owner I want my clients to know who I am and the various services I offer. There is still so much work going on behind the scenes that I cannot wait to share with you!

👰🏻‍♀️As a bride, I want to share my experience navigating this crazy, but wonderful time. Hopefully, my experience can help or inspire other brides!

👩🏻‍🌾 As a budding flower farmer and designer (yes, that joke was necessary 😂), I am taking this time to experiment and learn on the job starting from ground zero. There will be many a failed plant, centerpieces that have yet to find their own signature style, but by sharing my love of flowers I hope to spread joy.

I don’t believe I am quite there yet with my social media “strategy”, but I’m going to take the time to figure out my game plan and continue showing up.

💁🏻‍♀️This is our 11”x14” frame in a dark wood finish with our standard UV resistant glass in a modern deconstructed style.

💁🏻‍♀️Wedding Tip Wednesday- If you want to DIY stuff, go for it, but if it’s a brand new skill set, take a class to see if it’s something you truly want to commit to!

📚 A few months ago I took a class with on beginner brush calligraphy and let me tell you, her class taught me more in a couple hours than the half a dozen lettering books on my bookshelf.

🖊 Above is my sample before her class, and the place card is my sample after!

While the verdict is still out on how much I’ll handletter for the wedding (it’s a ton of work and time), I am so grateful for the experience and opportunity to learn such a valuable skill. Luckily in addition to workshops also takes commissions 😉😘

🎉 Taking a pause today on social media to celebrate our eight year anniversary

💞To my future husband, Billy- you are my best friend, my biggest champion, and I could not imagine how different my life would be without you. From new homes, to new jobs, to adding Rocket and Groot to our family, we have not only survived, but thrived, growing deeper in love with one another.

🥰From our second official date where you asked me to be your girlfriend, to the Pier where you asked me if I would be your wife, I am so grateful for the lifetime of moments we have had and will continue to create together.

🔔 Wedding Tip Wednesday- I know you’ve already heard this one before, but if you know there’s a vendor you need to work with, book them first.

💍 As soon as I got engaged I knew that I wanted to photograph my wedding, and even though we were over a year out, she was the first vendor I talked to after securing our date. Our engagement pics just came in and I am over the moon. I cannot wait to have her and the rest of our vendor team be part of our special day 💞

I also bring this up as this month I’ve had to turn away multiple brides who have waited until after their wedding to reach out about our bouquet preservation services. If you know you want together, reach out ASAP. I am currently booked through May, June and September are already over half way booked. However, never fear! We offer recreation services year round and a recreation makes the perfect gift 🎁
