Comer Lights

Comer Lights Holiday lights are sequenced to music to help bring the Christmas season to life! We unfortunately are no longer doing light shows in Comer.

We have moved to sunny Florida! :) Welcome to Comer Lights! We are proud to present our light show that is sequenced to festive holiday songs. We use Renard Plus Controllers that we've built ourselves to power the lights, Vixen sequencing software, and Vast FM transmitters. We want to bring the holiday experience in Madison County to a new level, so that people can better enjoy this wonderful time

of year. The songs we sequence range from Christmas classics, to newer interpretations of Christmas favorites. If you stop by the show and don't hear your favorite song, or if there's a song that your kids would love to see, feel free to send us your suggestions, and we can try and sequence them to have them ready for our future shows!

That means that the famous Comer Lights home is for sale.

I'm not sure who has heard, but this morning a local resident lost her home in Comer due to a devastating fire. As you may know, we have a donation box by our tune in sign to collect pet supplies to donate to the animal shelter. In addition to that, we are also helping collect donations to give to the family that lost their home and all of their possessions this morning in that fire. Below is a quote from the Comer Police Department listing what size clothing the family wears/needs, as well as information on donating further if you would like to do that. Either way, if you would like to see the lights and help this family in their time of need, feel free to leave any donations for them in our donations box, and we will ensure that they are brought to the family as soon as possible.

Quote from Comer Police Cpl. Roberts:

I just left talking with Mrs. Nelms. The victim of the house fire this morning. With her permission this information is being released. Her clothing sizes are 10 1/2 pants, Large shirts, and 7 1/2 shoes. Her son is 17 YOA, 32/32 pants, Large shirts, and size 11 shoes. Any help with clothing would be much appreciated. Also with Christmas coming up, gifts for the 17 year old male would be extremely thoughtful too. If anyone would like to donate, you can drop items off at the Comer Police Department between 8 and 5 Monday through Friday. An officer or EMS personal should be there. If you can not bring it to the P.D. you can call 706-783-0077, may have to leave message. We can arrange to come and pick up items if need be. This family has lost everything and they have stated that any help would be greatly appreciated.

Last year we collected donations of supplies for Moas Pets throughout the month of December. This year, we are once again accepting donations for the animal shelter. They have received a wonderful donation opportunity this year that will match donations up to $15,000. So if you donate $1, the shelter receives $2.

We will gladly accept any pet supplie this year to donate, but we would love to help the shelter with this donation program as well!

The donation box will be beside our Tune-In sign every night through the month of December if you choose to donate.

Thank you in advance, and Merry Christmas!!

When people come together, extraordinary things can happen- and this year is proof of exactly that at the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. Thanks to you generosity, compassion and support, our facility has helped save the lives of 1,449 unwanted, abandoned and/or neglected animals so far in 2016. Animals that would have typically been considered "untreatable" financially for the shelter are now receiving the help they need, and that is a feat worth celebrating. However, our work is far from over. Yes, we're continually increasing our adoptions, transfers and reclaims - but many more animals still desperately need our help.
Donations are a crucial part of carrying on our mission and recently, the shelter received an incredibly generous donation that inspires others to do the same. The donors, who have asked to remain anonymous, gave the shelter a $15,000 Match Grant. That means, for every dollar we raise, the donors will match it up to $15,000. So when you donate $1, the shelter receives $2; when you donate $10 we receive $20; and so on. This is your chance to make your donation count more than ever before. Please donate today and help us create a happy new beginning for so many unwanted, neglected and abused companion animals. Together, we can continue to make a difference.
To donate, visit us at the shelter Wednesday thru Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. We are located at 1888 Colbert-Danielsville Rd. Danielsville, GA 30633.
OR visit our website at www.moaspets.com/donate and follow the link to our PayPal account.
Your donation is tax deductible! MOAS Inc. is a 501C3 nonprofit organization.

The mega tree is under construction finally! This tree is about 15ft tall, and has 800 pixels on it. It's huge!! There is still so much to do to finish set up. We are aiming for a December 1st start date, but due to work schedules and the added complexity of the new elements we're adding, it's going to be very tight to make that happen. Keep watch for more posts regarding the start date.
