The Central Community College Columbus campus is home CCC's Instrumental Music program, which offers opportunities for all students to be involved in music. Some students major in music; however, many who choose other career paths continue playing music by participating in the CCC Concert Band. This ensemble puts on two concerts each semester & rehearses only on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00p

m. In addition to the Concert Band, students may participate in chamber ensembles or take private lessons on their instruments. This page is operated and all instrumental music activity at CCC is led by Anthony Burnham, Instrumental Music Instructor. User-generated Content and Disclaimer

Hello All!

We will be meeting tomorrow (8/18) as a group to discuss the new policies and procedures for this semester. We will not be playing at all tomorrow, but it will be an important day to know who all will be joining us and what we will have to do as a group to make band work this semester. It is going to look and feel different, but the chance to play music together again is something that I’m sure we could all benefit from right now.

Please also know that if you are in an at-risk category and don’t feel comfortable returning – that is fine. Your health and safety is important, and hopefully things will calm down soon and we will all be back together like we once were.

No matter what happens, just know that you will always have a place in the band.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. See you soon.

Congrats to the Class of 2020!

We know this isn't what you had in mind when you started this year, but you should be proud of what you have accomplished!

We would love nothing more than to be playing Pomp and Circumstance for you all right now. Since we can't, here's a little audio for your home ceremonies!

Hello CCC Concert Band Community,

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic and limitations on groups of people we will not be meeting as a group until further notice - likely through the rest of the semester. I want to thank you all for your hard work and for putting on a fantastic performance that we were thankfully able to sneak in before the crisis hit. You are all wonderful performers and people and I will miss seeing you all and making music together.

I will post updates as I can, but for the community members - thank you for your support and contributions to the ensemble, the campus, and the community. This ensemble would not exist without you.

For the students, please be sure to be checking your email for updates and assignments moving forward (yes, you will have to do some work).

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, and please spread the word to your colleagues.

Until next time,
Burnham
