INTRODUCING PAY WHAT YOU CAN MINIS!! 📸😍

It’s my goal to make my work accessible to all, which is why this is something that has been on my mind for soooooo long to do!! Interested in learning more??? Keep reading!!

→ When and where? April 27th, 2024 in German Village!
→ Who are these sessions for? Families, couples, seniors, or just some fun new portraits of yourself!!
→ How much do they cost? What you can pay! These sessions are intended to help you with whatever budget you have in this season for photos. All I’m asking is a minimum of $20. (The typical investment for one of these sessions is $250)
→ How long are these sessions? I’m planning on opening 15-minute slots starting at 3p.
→ What if the weather is bad? The rain date will be May 19th and your session time will remain the same. (Note: These sessions cannot be rescheduled for any other day. Sorry!!)

These sessions are first come first serve, and slots are limited. You can book with your $20 deposit on my website!! See you there!!!!

Hey hey! It’s time for some education… and we’re going back to the basics. 📸📚

Who remembers learning about the elements of art wayyyy back in elementary school?!

Well if you didn’t remember or know, the elements of art are:

-line
-shape
-space
-value
-form
-color
-texture

All of these come together to create the art we know and love - especially in photography.

I learned these foundations in art school, and I use them in every 👏🏼 single 👏🏼 shoot 👏🏼 But I especially go back to them when I am stumped or looking to create breathtaking images. (Plus I love the way these basics bridge my art background with my business side!!)

Texture is a HUGE one in photography. I will often look for cool spots that have texture to create depth, making a subject POP, and… to put it simply, make the shots more interesting.

Ivy walls are a great but EASY way to add texture to photos. Swipe to see a few of my favorites!!

Since I took on the “new year new website”, I thought it was time for a reintroduction!

Hey friends, I’m Polly! Some people call me Pol, Pocket or P! I am an artist + photographer based in Columbus OH.

- I’ve lived all over Columbus, but made the move downtown last year, and it’s where I feel most at home! I love love LOVE my new apartment + it’s become my safe, comfy, fun space.
- I graduated with a degree in studio art with concentrations in photography and communication design from Otterbein in 2017!
- This year is my golden birthday year, yay for 29! 🎁
- Art truly feels like my calling in life. Not just photography, but drawing + doodling, and clay are a few other ways I like to bring art into my life.
- Other passions I have include running, rollerblading + sports, including playing soccer on my coed team, or cheering on the Jackets, Buckeyes + Browns. If you see a girl rollerblading down high street, there’s a 95% chance that it’s me. 😂

I have a goal to be more active on social media this year in whatever way feels most honest, genuine, + authentic to me, but lemme know in the comments if there is anything else you wanna see from me! 👇🏼

I love love LOVE what I do, and here’s why:

❤️ As a photographer, I’m in charge of capturing life’s milestones. These are photos that will be looked back on for lifetimes to come. That is not something I take lightly.

❤️ This job has taken me to incredible places. The traveling piece of my job is one I’ve fallen in LOVEEE with.

❤️ Every single day I get to meet + work with people like YOU. You all are the reason I do what I do + I’m so freaking thankful!!

Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?

Questions questions questions… Why are they KEY to success?

I start the questions off strong with my inquiry form!! This is where I ask the obvious first - your date, your location, and to see what type of session you might be looking for. Then I take it one step further and ask people to tell me a little about themselves to learn if we are a good fit!

I send more questions throughout the rest of the booking process, starting with basics like what are your passions and hobbies? Or some of my favorite questions like, what is your love language? What's your favorite thing about your partner?

It's in these questions, when I get to know the true you that I can make a session unique for you two + deliver images that FEEL like you!

On the contrary, I also want you to ask me questions!! I tell all my clients that I LOVE their questions. And guess what?? There are no stupid questions when it comes to planning your photo session.

I’d like you to meet the most important employee behind Polly Sellers Creative…

THE BEST PUP BELLA ♥️🐶

I don’t think she has ever had her well-deserved moment to shine on the feed, so lemme tell you a little about my angel baby.

- She was found on the side of the road and randomly offered to me by a friend for $100, and was 8 weeks old, I said LEMME HAVE HER
- When I got her DNA test back + the results said she is equally 12.5% husky, rottweiler, boxer, pit bull, bulldog, chow chow, and australian shepherd, and lastly MULTI-BREED 🙄🤣 That wild mix makes her even more perfect, right?!?
- She loves the words: Bunny, squirrel, walk, ride, and Nora Leo + Tucker (her bffs)

She makes getting outside walking, and doing everyday life things that much better, and is the perfect couch editing buddy on a cold day. I’m not overexaggerating when I say that my life would not be what it is if I didn’t have this love bug ball of fur by my side.
