This Friday is our final night together for a place many called home.

Doors open at 9PM as we gather one last time to celebrate what Black Sheep has been and the community that gave it life.

What we shared yesterday still stands: this transition does not change our mission, only how we operate. Black Sheep was built as a safe, affirming space for the LGBTQIA+ community, and that commitment is not something we walk away from. It’s something we carry forward with care and responsibility.

This room held chosen family, first conversations, laughter, vulnerability, and belonging. That legacy matters to us. Honoring it means continuing to create space intentionally, thoughtfully, and with the same respect for the community that trusted us with it in the first place. Continuing to uplift support and honor every one of our family members.

Friday isn’t about spectacle or reinvention. It’s about coming together, saying thank you and closing this chapter with the people who made it home.

After much thought and consideration, we are announcing Black Sheep will be closing its chapter as a traditional LGBT+ bar and restaurant and transitioning into Black Sheep Events, an event-driven space focused on curated experiences, private gatherings, and intentional community programming.

Over time, it became clear that the strongest moments in this space weren’t about operating on a fixed schedule, they were about the nights we came together with purpose. This evolution allows us to focus on what has resonated most while continuing to provide a safe, welcoming space for our community.

Our final day of regular service will be this Friday, January 16 at 9pm and we’ll be coming together one last time to celebrate all the moments that make Black Sheep what it was. 
This isn’t an ending, it’s a transition shaped by the people who made this space home for everyone. 
Thank you for showing up, supporting us, and being part of the Black Sheep community.

As we step into this next chapter, we’ll also be accepting inquiries for private events and future bookings and look forward to creating what’s next together.

What are we toasting to for 2026? 🥂 We have a night in store for everyone (no matter what your style is).

Starting with NYE dinner, we have a three course chef curated meal that will be served while The Ohio State Buckeyes are on the big screens playing in the Cotton Bowl.

Need a little more excitement and plan on staying up way past midnight? Our Masquerade party kicks off at 11pm with and we will have a complimentary champagne toast when the ball drops. Use the link in our bio to learn more information on bottles and tables.

Lastly, for the people who are catching z’s comfortably in bed when 2026 strikes… we have brunch on New Year’s Day from 10am to 3pm. It’ll be a busy one so make sure to get your reservation in!
